Here Is A List Of Foreign Musicians Who Have Endorsed Nigerian Music Artistes

It is a known fact that Nigerian music is spreading like wildfire across the world and consequently, most Nigerian songs have been used as sound tracks in foreign movies.


Furthermore, some foreign musicians have gone along to do amazing collaborations with Nigerian singers.

1. Jay Z


In June 2016, Tiwa Savage was signed on to Jay Z’s record label, Roc Nation. This signified the start of music collaborations between Mavin Records and Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Drake collaborated with Wizkid’s in ‘One Dance’ which gathered over a billion streams on Spotify, the highest any artist has ever pulled off in the streaming age.


Drake whose Instagram handle is @champagnepapi has at some point posted a photo of Wizkid.

Rap queen, Nicki Minaj promoted Skales’ ‘Run Up’ video on her Instagram page with her over 80 million fans.


4. Meek Mill


In 2015, Davido featured Meek Mill, U.S Rapper and Maybach Music Group artist in an Afrobeats-HipHop fusion that was titled, ‘Fans Mi’.


5. Kanye West


Multi-award winning hip-hop artist and producer, Kanye West signed D’banj to his G.O.O.D. music label in 2011.


6. Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz


Alicia Keys and her husband Kasseem ‘Swizz Beatz’ Dean are among the list of international celebrities who fell in love with Wizkid’s songs.


They have been spotted rocking to Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’.


7. Chris Brown


Chris Brown who has been pictured chilling with Wizkid sometime ago has also been spotted dsncing along to Wizkid’s song on stage in 2015.


8. Tpain


TuFace teamed up with international act, T-Pain on the remix of his song – Rainbow in 2015.


9. Rick Ross


In 2012, Rick Ross did ‘Onyinye’ with Nigerian celebrity twins, Psquare.


10. Akon


Akon fell in love with Nigerian music and showed interest in working with Nigerian artistes which led to collaborating most Nigerian artistes. His first collaboration with a Nigerian artiste was with Wizkid on a remix of his song. He later went on to sign Nigerian duo P-Square and they did a song together featuring May D titled “Chop My Money“. His recent collaboration was with B-Red for the song “Cucumber“.
